TV: Sky Sports Cricket, 7pm Thursday

Trent Bridge, Nottingham

T20 Blast favourites Nottinghamshire host holders Worcestershire in the first televised game of the season and the visitors to Trent Bridge look a value bet.

Worcestershire, unheralded 28-1 shots, caused a major upset in last season’s Blast but their success was no fluke – they topped the North Group before nailing run-chases against Gloucestershire, Lancashire and Sussex in the knockout stages.

England World Cup winner Moeen Ali, who scored 334 runs and took 11 wickets in nine Blast games last season, is available for the Rapids.

Notts are adrift at the bottom of the County Championship Division One table and they face an awkward first Twenty20 fixture of the summer, especially with experienced all-rounder Steven Mullaney sidelined.
