Four teams from each group qualify for the T20 Blast quarter-finals and a home win over Hampshire would take Gloucestershire back into the top four of the South Group.

The Bristol side are 11-10 outsiders, which is worth considering given Hampshire's batting struggles in the Blast this season. In their eight South Group games only James Vince (twice) and Rilee Rossouw have scored half-centuries.

However, Gloucestershire's ace all-rounder Benny Howell injured a hamstring in last week's win over Surrey and in his absence their bowlers were battered by Dawid Malan, whose unbeaten 91 steered Middlesex to a comfortable victory on Sunday.

Gloucestershire opener Miles Hammond was the pick of their batsmen against Middlesex, scoring 42 off 26 balls. The left-hander also cracked 30 off 15 deliveries against a Surrey attack featuring South Africa spinner Imran Tahir and England seamers Sam and Tom Curran.

Hammond blazed 63 from 35 balls in his first Blast innings of the summer at home to Middlesex and is a tempting price to top-score in an inconsistent top order.

Derbyshire are second-bottom of a congested North Group table but they are just three points behind second-placed Nottinghamshire with a game in hand.

They have won two of their last three games, cruising to a target of 181 against Northamptonshire and trouncing Yorkshire at Headingley on Sunday, so the 6-4 that they upset holders Worcestershire in Derby looks too big.
