Crawford should silence Horn in Las Vegas

Aussie looks out of his depth

Jeff Horn had his 15 minutes of fame almost a year ago when the Australian was judged to have beaten Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane, but things could be very different against Terence Crawford in Las Vegas.

Crawford is stepping up from super-lightweight, where he was the undisputed champion, and he should be far too good for Horn.

"They gave a trophy, a win, a huge win to Horn, the local kid for trying hard. You're not supposed to get it for trying hard, you're supposed to get it for winning," ESPN commentator Teddy Atlas ranted after Horn beat Pacquiao.

Whether he benefited from a home decision against Pacquiao is open to debate, but what isn't is that he faces one of the best fighters in the world in Crawford.

Unlike Pacquiao, Crawford is in the prime of his career and deserves to be mentioned in pound-for-pound discussions.

Horn wasn't on many people's radar before he beat Pacquiao and hasn't done much since, with a one low-key defence against Gary Corcoran his only outing.

The Aussie is a 9-2 underdog and looks out of his depth, so backing Crawford to win by KO at 8-11 looks good value. He has stopped his last three opponents, and they were all probably better than Horn.
