Match preview

Warrington Wolves outplayed the Catalans Dragons in their recent Betfred Super League encounter and they can make it a quick-fire double in this Betfred Challenge Cup quarter-final at Headingley.

It was something of a surprise result two weeks ago in Perpignan, but the Wolves backed it up by coming from behind to thrash Hull KR 50-26 last week.

They ran in nine tries against the Robins and are the top scorers in the league with 144 points on the board.

Catalans are next best with 137 and this promises to be a lively contest.

Warrington have won the last two meetings by 16 and 14 points and they are 8-15 favourites to put their name in the hat for the semi-final draw. Catalans are 9-5 shots and those prices look about right.

The Wolves have done little wrong this season, losing to only Castleford in round one and drawing with Hull FC in round three, and the ruthless nature in which they saw off Hull KR last week suggests another forlorn trip across the Channel for the French raiders.

The Wolves are asked to cover a four-point line on the handicap and that looks well within their compass.

St Helens v Huddersfield Giants

Where to watch

Sky Sports Mix, 8.15pm Friday

Best bet

Huddersfield +14
1pt 11-10 Hills

Match preview

St Helens are 9-4 favourites to win the Betfred Challenge Cup and they can take a step closer to glory by cutting the Huddersfield Giants down to size.

These teams met just three weeks ago in the Betfred Super League with Saints running out 18-10 winners at the John Smith's Stadium.

It's six out of six for the reigning Super League champions in all competitions this season but they haven't been as free-scoring as usual recently, as highlighted by that result at Huddersfield.

Last time out they beat lowly Leigh 22-12 despite being 24-point favourites and that may offer the Giants a glimmer of hope.

Huddersfield are handed a 14-point start on the handicap and that looks worth taking.
