Time Warp faces the best milers Hong Kong has to offer but can prove himself much more than just a high-class middle-distance horse in the Stewards' Cup (8.40) on Sunday.

The Sha Tin showpiece carries almost £1 million in prize-money and features all the first four from last month's HK Mile, namely Beauty Generation, Western Express, Helene Paragon and Seasons Bloom.

Helene Paragon can prove best of that closely-matched quartet this time, but Time Warp is thriving on racing after dominating a good field headed by local hero Werther in the Hong Kong Cup over a mile and a quarter on his latest start.

Time Warp did enjoy an easy lead that day, but the turn of foot he showed to rip through the last 400 metres in 22.08sec was striking and the market will be underrating him if he's sent off at 7-2 or better.

The John Size-trained Mr Stunning is sure to be sent off odds-on when he bids to continue his domination of the Hong Kong sprint division in the Centenary Sprint Cup (8.05).

Stablemate DB Pin has got closer to him on each of his last three runs – and value seekers might be tempted as he finished within a neck here last month – but Mr Stunning travelled beautifully for a long way and is tough to oppose.

Local training legend John Moore is one of many who have felt the pinch as Size has rolled out a series of stars but there is ample time to strike back with more than half of the season left and Rocketeer looks a suitable candidate in the Bullish Luck Handicap (9.15).

This gelding looked one of the brightest young prospects around in the latter part of last season, beating a good field handsomely here in June from a mark of 89 and then finishing a fine second off 91 in July.

This season's efforts have been largely anticlimactic by comparison, but Rocketeer showed clear signs of a revival on his latest start.

True, he finished behind a handful of these rivals, headed by the talented but frustrating ex-Stoute horse Consort, but Rocketeer would have finished a good deal closer but for being short of room at crucial points and this looks a good chance for him to relaunch his career at an each-way price.
