Queen Jo Jo
Trainer: Kevin Ryan

2nd, Beverley, July 6
This two-year-old filly couldn't match strides with speedy winner Que Amoro in the first three furlongs of the Beverley 5f novice stakes on debut, but she warmed to the task and was doing her best work in the final furlong. She is likely to improve for this experience and evidently has plenty of natural ability.

South Seas
Andrew Balding

6th, Sandown, July 7
This Lope De Vega gelding has shown signs that he retains plenty of ability on three starts since finishing 15th in last season’s French 2,000 Guineas. Two starts ago at Chester he missed the break but still finished fourth, and last time made notable late headway despite encountering traffic problems. He has been running on good/good to firm, but he was effective on soft ground at two, winning the Group 3 Solario Stakes on good to soft, and it will be interesting to see what he is capable of when encountering easy conditions.

Paul Midgley
3rd, Haydock, July 7
This sprinter has slipped to an interesting mark considering just under a year ago he won a handicap off a 5lb higher mark than he raced off in this Haydock 6f handicap. With a clearer run he wouldn’t have been a match for the winner, but he may have finished second and he is of definite interest on his next couple of starts.
