Jonny Pearson has two selections at Compiegne - including a hurdler previously trained by Willie Mullins

Le Listrac
11.23 Compiegne
1pt win
Bialystok
2.22 Compiegne
1pt win
Le Listrac might not have won since 2023 but he has scored eight times over jumps, more than any other runner in the Listed chase (11.23).
He might not be as good as he once was, but his best form saw him win Graded chases in his four-year-old season, including a Grade 1 at Auteuil in 2021.
Game Of Storm, who had Le Listrac back in fourth when winning last time, is an obvious danger along with Amy Du Kiff, another Grade 1 winner, and Jost, who finished second and third in the same race when last seen in May. For all this is a good piece of form, it is not up to the level Le Listrac is capable of.
Le Listrac can produce a better performance this time and reverse the form with Game Of Storm based on what he has shown in the past.
The concluding 2m2f conditions hurdle (2.22) sees a few more familiar faces, with the former Willie Mullins-trained Bialystok lining up along with the 2023 Cleeve Hurdle winner Gold Tweet.
Bialystok has had three Flat runs since returning to France, and while he hasn’t been at his best, it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form now reverting to hurdles. He has a Scottish Champion Hurdle second and a close third to The Wallpark to his name, and a return to the level of that Ayr form from last year would give him a good chance of victory.
Gold Tweet is best watched on his first start since January. Kourvit is perhaps the most interesting runner of the remainder, having had only three starts and one run over hurdles. He has not been in action for almost a year and a half, though, and another watching brief is advised.
