Camila Giorgi claimed her second WTA title with victory in Linz on Sunday, but the busy Italian could face a tougher test in her Luxembourg Open curtain-raiser than many bookmakers expect.

Mandy Minella is never going to be a world-beater on court, but the Luxembourg battler can be a difficult opponent to defeat when she's on her game.

Minella has not had that many chances to strut her stuff since becoming a mother a year ago, but she turned in a top shift to reach the Gstaad final in July and may be ready to put on another decent show in her homeland.

The outsider is a shade of odds-on with a handicap start of 5.5 games and that's fair enough.

It has generally been a season of struggle for Johanna Konta, but the Briton has a good chance to get a win on the board against Elise Mertens in the WTA Kremlin Cup in Moscow.

The Belgian travelled to Russia only in the hope she could play after sustaining an arm injury in Tianjin last week. It looks as if Mertens is going to give it a go, but it's not surprising that Konta has been cut to 8-11 from 4-5.
