Hyeon Chung could prove a shaky favourite for the inaugural Next Gen ATP Finals, which start in Milan at lunchtime on Tuesday.

Eight of the world's best players aged 21 or under will vie for the crown and things look a lot more open with Alexander Zverev having withdrawn in order to focus on the ATP Finals (the German is playing an exhibition clash at the Fiera Milano against Stefano Tsitsipas).

On Monday Chung was cut from 5-1 to go all the way, but having been drawn in the same group as top seed Andrey Rublev and Denis Shapovalov and with Borna Coric a possible final rival, the South Korean looks short enough.

Solitary qualifier Gianluigi Quinzi, a former junior world number one, also enjoys a 2-0 head-to-head lead over Chung so punters are advised to look elsewhere for value.

Rublev and Shapovalov, the exciting Canadian 18-year-old, could battle for Group A honours, so outright bettors may be wiser concentrating on Coric in Group B.

The Croat finds himself up against useful Russians Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev as well as Jared Donaldson, an American whose height and strength could aid his cause.

However, Coric has gained plenty of experience having defeated a number of high-class opponents and he's a fighter too, which could help as the event progresses. Rublev, a fine player in the making, could prove his toughest rival.

There are four matches on day one, but it may pay to get a look at the court and format – sets are first to four games – before punting.

In the WTA Limoges 125K event, Maryna Zanevska looks a shade underrated for her clash with Kaia Kanepi. The Estonian is prone to form swings and the Ukrainian can be chanced with a start of 5.5 games.
