Bronx Open second round tennis predictions, free tips and best bets

Fiona Ferro has enjoyed a successful summer on the WTA Tour but she may do well to deny Qiang Wang in the Bronx Open second round if the Chinese ace is on top of her game.

Ferro, ranked 72nd in the world, took the title on clay in Lausanne in July and also made the quarter-finals in Bastad and Palermo on the slow red terrain.

The Frenchwoman clearly has ability and the will for a fight, but she may not yet have the class to stop Qiang.

The Chinese world number 18 is one of the best-placed performers from her country to try to follow in the footsteps of Li Na and win majors.

That hasn't happened yet but there's plenty of time for the 27-year-old to make her mark at the top level.

Day four of the men's US Open prep tournament, the ATP Winston-Salem Open, will be shown live on Amazon Prime from 8pm.
