Anna Schmiedlova could make life difficult for Hibino

There is not a huge amount of value in Tuesday's Far Eastern cards but it could be worth chancing a handicap bet in the WTA Tashkent Open early on Wednesday morning.

Nao Hibino made a sterling start in Uzbekistan when thrashing Eugenie Bouchard 6-3 6-3, but the Japanese player has an excellent record against the Canadian struggler and things could be tougher against Anna Schmiedlova.

Hibino has been quite well backed to progress to the quarter-finals and the fact that Schmied­lova is no winning machine is enough to deter potential upset backers.

However, the Slovak can just about be chanced with a start of 3.5 games. Schmiedlova is nothing if not a battler and Hibino may do well to defeat her opponent by a margin of four games or more.

In Wuhan, Garbine Muguruza bounced back to winning form with a 6-4 6-0 humbling of Alison van Uytvanck and she is 2-11 to defeat Viktoriya Golubic next.
