Edinburgh are 4-9 to make it 11 home wins out of 11 in all competitions this season but it is hard to make a handicap call on their Pro14 clash with Cardiff (Premier Sports 2, 7.35pm Saturday).

The teams are without their Six Nations stars and have injuries yet both head coaches can still name plenty of classy players.

And while the Blues’ road record is not great, they are likely to be far more of a nuisance at the breakdown with Ollie Robinson and Nick Williams in their ranks than the Dragons were in last week’s 34-17 Murrayfield defeat. They also have pace and power to burn throughout their backline – not just seven-try centre Rey Lee-Lo.

The wager to have looks to be Edinburgh wing Duhan van der Merwe to score a tenth try of the season. His brace against the Dragons was a third double in five league games. The previous two came against Conference A top two Munster and Glasgow.

Another anytime tryscorer bet to have is Stuart McCloskey for Ulster against Zebre in Belfast (FreeSports, 7.35pm Saturday).

The hosts are asked to give up 18 points and dynamic centre McCloskey claimed the only try of Ulster’s hard-fought 8-0 win over Ospreys in Bridgend last Friday.

There are four non-televised Premiership fixtures with home sides Harlequins, Wasps, Exeter and Northampton all favourites.
