USA could bounce back on day two after slow start

Holders Europe not certain to kick on

Day two
Sky Sports Action, 7pm Tuesday

Europe had the better of it on the opening day of the Mosconi Cup, but it could be a different story on day two in Las Vegas.

Marcus Chamat's European team, winners of the competition in the last seven years, stormed into a 4-0 lead on Monday but USA mainstay Shane Van Boening ended day one with what may prove to be a important singles victory over Jayson Shaw.

USA, who trail 4-1, have drifted to as big as 4-1 to fight back and lift the cup for the first time since 2009 and punters can definitely consider getting involved with the home team, especially now that Van Boening has enjoyed a confidence-boosting victory over Europe's top man Shaw.

It would not come as a surprise to see USA win day two by a similar scoreline – a 4-1 triumph is 11-2 with Sky Bet – but the 5-4 that Hills are quoting about Van Boening and co bossing the second instalment looks the wiser way to go.

Recommendation
USA to win day two
1pt 5-4 Hills
