Well-prepared Burnley could spring a surprise

While the majority of Premier League teams have been making their seasonal debuts this weekend, Burnley have been up and running for a while and could cause a surprise at St Mary's.

The Clarets have taken part in three competitive Europa League clashes already and even if striker Chris Wood is struggling, they can cause Southampton plenty of problems.

Only basement boys West Brom won fewer home matches than Southampton's tally of four last term and they could succumb to what could be a positive Lancastrian approach, particularly as Sean Dyche's side proved last year that they are no longer a soft touch on the road.
