A dramatic last-gasp equaliser from Ross Barkley maintained Chelsea's unbeaten start and sparked extraordinary scenes at Stamford Bridge in a pulsating 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

Barkley's late leveller earned Chelsea an unlikely point before home assistant coach Marco Ianni antagonised Jose Mourinho to such an extent the former Blues boss attempted to charge down the tunnel in pursuit of the guilty culprit.

It had looked to have been a huge win for United, who produced their best performance of the season and looked on course for a vital victory courtesy of Anthony Martial's second-half brace.

However, United were unable to hold on and are ninth in the Premier League standings but Mourinho has drifted to 5-2 with Betfair and Paddy Power in the Premier League sack race.

Hills go 7-4 that Mourinho does not start next term at Old Trafford following the improved display and 2-5 he remains.

Chelsea, who had led at half-time through Antonio Rudiger's header, are out to 12-1 to win the title and are two points back on Manchester City after the champions bashed Burnley 5-0.

Sergio Aguero opened the floodgates and further goals from Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane saw City cement their position at the top in some style.

City are 8-13 to retain the title but Liverpool kept pace to go level at the summit with a 1-0 win over Huddersfield thanks to a Mohamed Salah goal.

Tottenham triumphed by the same score at West Ham with Erik Lamela on target for the visitors.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is 7-2 with Coral to become Real Madrid's next manager following the latest defeat for the Spanish giants, this time 2-1 at home to 18-1 shots Levante, which leaves coach Julen Lopetegui in a precarious position.

Antonio Conte is the 3-1 favourite, while Paddy Power have slashed Arsene Wenger to 6-1 from 14-1.

Newcastle are rock-bottom of the Premier League after a 1-0 loss at home to Brighton and Fulham are also in the relegation zone following a 4-2 reverse at Cardiff.

Two quickfire goals from Etienne Capoue and Roberto Pereyra earned Watford a fine 2-0 win at Wolves and Southampton held Bournemouth to a goalless stalemate.
