There’s no doubt that the Vikings have overachieved this season to reach a tally of 13-4. They have won all 11 games decided by one score this season, and despite their tremendous record, they have a negative point differential.

Despite all that, there is no way they should be favoured by just three points at home against the Giants.

Although Minnesota have been one of the most interesting case studies in football, they still hold a ton of quality including star receiver Justin Jefferson and running back Dalvin Cook.

They have lost by some big margins this season but each of those came against teams with star-studded offences, which the Giants certainly do not have.

Brian Daboll has worked wonders for New York in his first season but it’s worth remembering that they were once 6-1 before cooling down the stretch and winning just three of their last ten games.

The Giants have got it done with a makeshift group of receivers and by turning Daniel Jones into a competent quarterback. That gets you wins in the regular season but is unlikely to work in the playoffs.

The Vikings beat the Giants 27-24 just a few weeks ago in one of Jones’s best games of the season. He is unlikely to replicate that level of play, and it says a lot that even when he has been at his best New York couldn’t get it done.

All things considered, the Vikings should win this game by at least a field goal.
