Match preview

The Kansas City Chiefs meet the Las Vegas Raiders in their final games of the regular season and the Chiefs now know where they stand before the trip to Allegiant Stadium.

After the NFL decided to cancel Monday's postponed game between the Bills and Bengals, Kansas City will secure the number one seed in the AFC and a first-round bye with victory in this contest.

So the Chiefs will be highly motivated to secure a win, but the Raiders too have their pride to play for and should be able to cover a hefty spread.

When these teams met earlier in the season the game went down to the wire before a failed two-point conversion attempt by Las Vegas handed KC victory.

The Raiders have struggled since then but they introduced quarterback Jarrett Stidham to the fold last week and he looked tremendous against a 49ers defence who are considered among the best in the league.

Stidham will clearly be motivated to follow that with another inspired performance as he looks to impress head coach Josh McDaniels once again, while star receiver Davante Adams also showed in that match that he will continue to give his all for his team.

The Raiders have consistently pushed the Chiefs all the way when these teams have faced off, and with a raucous crowd expected at Allegiant, this may not be the straightforward Chiefs win that many are expecting.

Kansas City should still be able to claim victory, but expect the Raiders to push them all the way.
