Mackenzie Hughes beat Sepp Straka in a playoff for the Sanderson Farms Championship title on Sunday - the Canadian delivering a decisive birdie at the second extra hole.

Hughes, a pre-tournament 110-1 chance, carded a final-round 69 before holding his nerve in overtime. Third-round pacesetter Mark Hubbard dropped from first place to a share of fifth.

Victory for Hughes followed the success of New Zealander Ryan Fox in the Dunhill Links Championship at 70-1 - both players having been snubbed for places on the Internationals' Presidents Cup team for last month's match against USA.

For the next fortnight, golf punters can enjoy a triple-header, with two LIV Golf events bolstering the schedule. This week, LIV Golf Bangkok starts in the early hours of Friday morning (UK time), with Cameron Smith and Dustin Johnson headlining the field.

The DP World Tour moves to mainland Europe for the Spanish Open, where Jon Rahm is going to post, while the PGA Tour stages the Shriners Children's Open in Las Vegas. Patrick Cantlay and Max Homa are the biggest names on show at the Shriners.
