Arsenal appear to be in with a great chance of signing Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, according to bookmakers.

The clubs are reportedly locked in negotiations, and a deal may be close despite Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claiming he did not think the striker would leave this summer and rumoured interest from Atletico Madrid.

Coral went 1-6 early on Wednesday afternoon that Lacazette's next club would be Arsenal although they have since eased that to 1-3, while Betfred were quoting 1-2.

Riyad Mahrez has also been mentioned as a Gunners target. Coral are betting on the Algerian's next move and make Arsenal the 11-10 favourites with Monaco 3-1.

Another deal in the offing is Alvaro Morata's switch from Real Madrid to Manchester United.

Betway go 1-4 that Morata is a United player at the end of the transfer window and 7-2 that he stays at the Bernabeu.

Dani Alves has moved a step closer to a move to Manchester City.

The Brazilian has confirmed his departure from the Italian champions after being released halfway through his two-year contract.

Former Chelsea team-mates Frank Lampard and Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink have emerged as contenders for the vacant manager's position at Oxford.

Favourite for the role is Spanish coach Pep Clotet, whose most recent position was assistant manager at Leeds.

Sky Bet are 5-6 about Clotet with Hasselbaink and Lampard joint-second favourites at 3-1.
