Gervane Kastaneer

NAC Breda to Coventry, undisclosed

Dan Childs

Coventry's failure to reach the Sky Bet League One playoffs last season was largely due to a lack of firepower and they have boosted their attacking options with the capture of powerful Curacao international forward Gervene Kastaneer from Dutch outfit NAC Breda.

Kastaneer was often used as a substitute for Breda, who finished bottom of the Dutch top flight in 2018-19.

However, he was rated highly as a youngster and featured for the Dutch Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 teams. If he realises some of that early potential he will be a good signing.

Patrick Bauer

Charlton to Preston, Free

Dan Childs

Central defender Patrick Bauer has been a key player for Charlton over the last four seasons and his free transfer to Preston is a blow to Addicks' boss Lee Bowyer.

Bauer will be forever fondly remembered by Charlton fans thanks to his winning goal against Sunderland in the Sky Bet League One playoff final.

However, it was his defensive qualities which alerted Preston, who shipped 67 league goals in the Sky Bet Championship in 2018-19 -the sixth-highest tally in the division.

James Hanson

Wimbledon to Grimsby, Free

Dan Childs

James Hanson's career has stalled since he left Bradford in January 2017 but he could be a shrewd signing for Grimsby, who have lacked a focal point to their attack.

Hanson's aerial ability made him a favourite of the fans at Bradford, where he achieved double-figure goal tallies in five of his eight seasons.

He was less successful at Sheffield United and Wimbledon, but has an excellent track record in fourth division football and should flourish in Cleethorpes.

Josh Morris

Scunthorpe to Fleetwood, Free

Dan Childs

Josh Morris is too good to be playing League Two football and he looks an astute signing for Fleetwood.

He doesn't possess lightning pace but he regularly provides match-winning moments with his magical left foot.

The 2018-19 campaign was tough for Morris, who suffered a broken leg in December 2018 and featured in just 19 league games.

But he was excellent in the previous two seasons, scoring 19 goals and assisting 11 in 2016-17 and scoring 11 and assisting seven in 2017-18.

Aaron Collins

Morecambe to Forest Green, Free

Dan Childs

Winger Aaron Collins failed to make a league appearance for Wolves in three years on the club's books and his career was at a crossroads when he was snapped up on a short-term deal by Morecambe in January this year.

He proved to be an inspired signing for the Shrimps, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances and playing a key role in keeping them out of relegation danger.

Collins' performances did not go unnoticed and he should be an asset for Forest Green, who are eyeing up a push for automatic promotion.

Daniel Adshead

Rochdale to Norwich, undisclosed

Dan Childs

Rochdale are not afraid to give young players a chance and their youth policy has benefited 17-year-old midfielder Daniel Adshead, who made ten appearances for them in League One last season.

Adshead did not get much exposure when Dale where fighting for survival towards the end of the season but he did enough to catch the eye of Norwich, who see him as one for the future.

Adshead has featured three times for England Under-18s and scored on his international debut against Holland.
