Pablo Fornals could be a bargain buy for West Ham

Clayton Donaldson

Bolton to Bradford, free transfer

Dan Childs

A lack of goals was one of the main reasons behind Bradford's relegation to Sky Bet League Two and Gary Bowyer hopes the acquisition of veteran striker Clayton Donaldson will pep up his attack.

Donaldson topped to League Two scoring charts in 2010-11 with 28 goals for Crewe and went on to carve out a decent career in the Championship, scoring 32 goals in 113 league games at Birmingham.

However, he netted just once in 31 league matches for Bolton last term and, at the age of 35, it is likely his best days are behind him.

Regan Poole

Man Utd to MK Dons, free transfer

Dan Childs

Regan Poole's dream of forging a career at Manchester United may have ended but he has carved out a reputation as a solid League Two defender across two loan spells at Newport and did enough to attract the attention of MK Dons, who snapped him up in preparation for their League One campaign.

Poole played third-tier football at a teenager while on loan at Northampton and will be looking to work his way back up the ladder.

Dons manager Paul Tisdale has an eye for talented youngsters and has seen something in Poole, who has represented Wales at Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-21 levels.

Pablo Fornals

Villarreal to West Ham, £24m

Mark Langdon

This has the potential to be a bargain for West Ham, if Pablo Fornals can get used to the rough and tumble of the Premier League.

Fornals is a nice technical player and his individual skills and tricks made him a YouTube sensation at Villarreal - that ability should see him become a Hammers' fans favourite.

However, the Premier League is not for everyone and Fornals needs to prove he can cope with the extra physicality of English football.

Moussa Djenepo

Standard Liege to Southampton, £14m

Mark Langdon

Southampton are giving pace a chance with the signing of winger Moussa Djenepo from Standard Liege.

The youngster, 21 on June 15, is an absolute speedster and that is a clear requirement for Ralph Hasenhuttl's attacking plans.

Djenepo could add to his reputation at the Africa Cup of Nations with Mali, so it was smart for Saints to pick him up now.

Wesley Moraes

Club Brugge to Aston Villa, undisclosed fee

Mark Langdon

Aston Villa have broken their transfer record for Wesley and there is a suggestion they overspent just to make sure the Brazilian gets a work permit. The newly-promoted club are clearly taking a risk on a player with potential rather than proven ability.

It would be wrong to look solely at Wesley's goalscoring record, which isn't great. He scored once in the Belgian league in 2016-17 from 633 minutes, then seven times in 28 appearances in 2017-18 before last season's effort of ten goals from 25 league outings.

However, the 22-year-old also claimed nine assists and he is a team player who will bring others into the game, but it's clearly a gamble as Villa aim to replace Tammy Abraham.

Ferland Mendy

Lyon to Real Madrid, undisclosed fee

Mark Langdon

The left-back was picked up for peanuts and then sold on by Lyon for a fee reported to be around £45m, so it's good business by the Ligue 1 club and Ferland Mendy has a bit to prove at Real Madrid.

Mendy is a modern-day full-back who gets up and down the pitch and offers a great attacking threat even if his final crosses need work. At the very top level his defensive work will be tested.

Zeli Ismail

Walsall to Bradford, free transfer

Mark Langdon

Zeli Ismail is a skillful winger with enough ability to thrive in Sky Bet League Two - it's just his consistency that needs working on. At 25, however, if that was coming it probably would have happened by now so he could be frustrating player for Bradford.

Jordan Bowery

Crewe to MK Dons, free transfer

Mark Langdon

This is a classic Paul Tisdale signing. At Exeter he would always scour the free transfer list and look to bring in players who had previously either cost plenty of money or played at a much higher level.

Jordan Bowery was once good enough to sign for Aston Villa in the Premier League and he will add depth to the MK Dons' attacking options given his versatility.

Daniel James

Swansea to Manchester United, £18 million

Liam Flin

A significant rebuilding job is required at Manchester United this summer and the addition of 21-year-old James is an excellent first major piece of business.

Covering 84 yards in fewer than 8.5 seconds to score against Brentford in the FA Cup highlighted his blistering pace, which should ease his transition from the Sky Bet Championship to the Premier League.

No Swansea player laid on more assists than James (seven) last term and the Welsh winger could represent a bargain purchase in the current inflated market.

James Norwood

Tranmere to Ipswich, undisclosed

Liam Flin

A paltry return of 36 goals in 46 league matches suggested Ipswich needed to reinforce their front line following relegation from the Sky Bet Championship and Norwood could be a brilliant addition.

The top scorer in Sky Bet League Two last season with 30 goals, the former Tranmere forward is versatile, quick and has an excellent eye for goal. He has long looked capable of making the step up a division and could wreak havoc in England's third tier.

Eden Hazard

Chelsea to Real Madrid, £89 million

Mark Langdon

It is no surprise to see Eden Hazard finally get his dream move to play under his boyhood hero Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid and the brilliant Belgian should be a roaring success in Spain.

Hazard was the top assist-maker in the Premier League last season with 15 and also contributed 16 goals for a Chelsea side who at times struggled for fluency except when he was in possession.

A demon dribbler and with the bravery to keep wanting to take on defenders no matter how many times he is fouled, Hazard brought joy to Stamford Bridge and to all neutral football lovers.

He will be an important difference-maker for Madrid as they look to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo's departure 12 months ago, while Hazard's exit leaves a gigantic hole in Chelsea's hopes for next season.

Given Hazard's contract situation - he only had one year left - Chelsea will feel like they have received a decent fee for the 28-year-old, although Madrid have got the better end of this deal.

Matt Green

Salford to Grimsby, free transfer

Mark Langdon

The striker has been as high up as the Championship after Birmingham signed him following a prolific time at Mansfield, but it's been a more barren spell in recent times for the 32-year-old.

Matt Green failed to make much of an impact at Salford and it remains to be seen whether he retains the pace required to become a success for Grimsby.

Jonjoe Kenny

Everton to Schalke, loan

Mark Langdon

This is a good move for Jonjoe Kenny as he searches for minutes on the pitch and Schalke will be aiming for a decent season under former Huddersfield manager David Wagner.

However, Kenny has never quite looked up to Premier League standard on his rare appearances for the Toffees.
