Jota

Birmingham to Aston Villa, undisclosed

Mark Langdon

It's not an easy move to make from Birmingham to arch-rivals Aston Villa and Jota is not certain to make a major impact in the Premier League.

He possesses lovely technical ability, but can drift out of too many matches. However, Dean Smith got the best out of him at Brentford so there is a chance he can do likewise at Villa but this is a step up.

Alan McCormack

Luton to Northampton, free transfer

Mark Langdon

Veteran midfielder Alan McCormack made 23 appearances for Luton in all competitions last season and if he stays fit he should boss midfields at League Two level.

Northampton have been cut to 14-1 in places to win the title which is understandable given the wages they appear to be paying to add experienced players to their ranks.

Nicky Adams

Bury to Northampton, free transfer

Mark Langdon

Nicky Adams was the top assist-maker in League Two, making 16 goals and has long been seen as a big player at this level - he won the title with the Cobblers in 2015-16. He can play as a winger or wing-back and looks a good signing.

Luka Jovic

Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid, undisclosed

Mark Langdon

Real Madrid are desperate to add goals to their squad as Karim Benzema was the only player to reach double figures in La Liga last season and Luka Jovic can certainly find the back of the net.

Jovic scored 17 Bundesliga goals for Eintracht Frankfurt and a further ten in the Europa League with the Serbian striker coming alive in the penalty box. At just 21 he has the potential to improve and in a crazy market, a fee around £50m seems fair for Madrid to pay.

Joe Mason

Wolves to MK Dons, free transfer

Mark Langdon

Joe Mason showed plenty of early promise at Plymouth before joining Cardiff and then Wolves for decent money, but it has been mainly downhill since then.

A versatile forward, arguably best in the number ten position, he is probably a free-transfer risk worth taking for League One new boys MK Dons, but it is some time since Mason showed any kind of form.

Callum McManaman

Wigan to Luton, free transfer

Mark Langdon

Luton's rapid rise from Sky Bet League Two to the Championship has come with them using a midfield diamond so it will be interesting to see whether new boss Graeme Jones sticks with that formation or looks to add width to the squad.

Callum McManaman, who was with Jones at Wigan, has shown glimpses of ability, although he may struggle to get into the Hatters' silky side.

Mo Eisa

Bristol City to Peterborough, undisclosed

Mark Langdon

Peterborough have a fine track record when it comes to improving strikers and Mo Eisa should live up to his fee as a club-record signing.

Eisa struggled with the jump to the Championship with Bristol City, but was rampant with Cheltenham in League Two and his pace will trouble most League One defences.
