Watford to win

Watford's late equaliser at Newcastle last Saturday felt like a big moment in their season and it could be built upon by a significant victory over Norwich.

The Hornets have been busy making January additions and three of them – left-back Hassane Kamara, central midfielder Edo Kayembe and central defender Samir – played to a high standard in the 1-1 draw at St James' Park.

Watford are looking more solid at the back and they carry a threat thanks to their potent front three of Emmanuel Dennis, Joshua King and Joao Pedro.

Norwich have looked better since Dean Smith decided to pair Adam Idah with Teemu Pukki in a front two, but they have scored just ten goals in 21 league matches this season and could be outgunned.

Joao Pedro to score

Claudio Ranieri raised a few eyebrows by substituting top scorer Emmanuel Dennis while Watford were losing at Newcastle, but the Italian was simply showing his faith in 20-year-old Joao Pedro, who is starting to realise his considerable potential.

Pedro has netted in each of Watford's last two matches and looks a strong candidate to notch against the Canaries.

Over 2.5 goals

Both teams are likely to be more interested in pushing for the win than protecting a point and there should be scope for plenty of goals.

Watford were 3-1 winners at Carrow Road in September – registering a fifth successive win over the Norfolk side – and they could have the edge in another high-scoring game.
