Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is feeling the heat after the Spanish giants lost 3-0 away to Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League opener.

It was the first time in 578 matches that Madrid failed to register a shot on target and Jose Mourinho is Paddy Power's 6-5 favourite for the Santiago Bernabeu hotseat when Zidane eventually leaves.

Former Juventus manager Max Allegri is next in the betting at 11-4 and Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino has been cut to 9-2 to swap London for Madrid.

Angel Di Maria netted a brace against his old club before Gareth Bale had his lobbed goal ruled out for handball by VAR with an added-time strike from Thomas Meunier sealing maximum points on matchday one for PSG.

The French champions are a best-priced 8-1 to lift the trophy with Manchester City 3-1 market leaders after a 3-0 success against Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona as short as 9-2 after a goalless stalemate away to Borussia Dortmund. Real Madrid are out to 15-1 with RedZone.

Zidane has made a modest start to his second spell in charge of Real Madrid, who have two wins and two draws from their opening four La Liga assignments.

They face a difficult return to domestic matters and can be backed at 7-5 to win on Sunday against La Liga leaders Sevilla, who are managed by former Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui.
