England to meet Holland in Nations League semi-finals

It could have been better and it could have been worse as England were drawn to play Holland in their Nations League semi-final.

Gareth Southgate's side have avoided finals hosts Portugal but also missed outsiders Switzerland in the June showdown, and Betway and Sky Bet rate England 8-13 shots to overcome the Dutch in Guimaraes on June 6.

Holland, who have missed out on qualifying for the last two major tournaments, look a much improved side under Ronald Koeman and they overcame France and Germany in Nations League qualifying.

Koeman has the benefit of fielding emerging talents such as Ajax pair Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt, while centre-back Virgil van Dijk and forward Memphis Depay offer Holland quality in both boxes.

The Dutch are 6-5 to qualify, while England are narrow tournament favourites at 15-8, just ahead of 2-1 Portugal. The hosts are 2-5 to beat Switzerland in Porto on June 5.
