What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event starts on Friday, April 17 and will be streamed on bookmaker websites and features a host of big names.

Each session starts at 7.30 and will see four stars do battle in nightly round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-nine legs. The 32 group winners will progress through to the next phase.

Friday's PDC Home Tour Group 22 preview

Ian White won the last PDC event before professional darts ground to a halt in March and is a strong favourite to see off Danny Noppert, James Wilson and Jesus Noguera to top Group 22 of the PDC Home Tour.

Diamond defeated John Henderson, Stephen Bunting, Dave Chisnall, Kim Huybrechts and James Wade to pick up a Players Championship title in Barnsley and will take some beating if he arrives in the same form.

He deserves to be favourite but that victory was almost two months ago and Dutch ace Noppert, himself a former BDO Worlds finalist, may be able to cause a minor upset against the 49-year-old.

Noppie was also in fine form in March, winning eight of his last ten matches, and defeats against Luke Humphries and Nathan Aspinall are no disgrace. He leads White 2-1 in head-to-head meetings and looks decent value to progress.

Wilson has enjoyed a solid career but he has just three match wins to his name in 2020 and Noguera, who has played well since earning his tour card, could see off the veteran in their meeting.
