Ronnie O'Sullivan v John Higgins

ITV4, 1pm Friday

It's snooker's El Clasico when Ronnie O'Sullivan takes on John Higgins in the second round of the Coral Players Championship but it may not be as competitive as the layers expect.

Higgins had been struggling this season until he made the semi-finals in India last week, albeit in a pretty weak field, and he looked in good touch when beating class cueman Mark Selby in the opening round on Wednesday. However, that contest against Selby was a real slog and it followed a long return trip from India for the Scot.

The Wizard of Wishaw may understandably be a little jaded and if that's is the case it's unlikely O'Sullivan will need a second invitation to take advantage.

The Rocket can be backed at 6-5 giving Higgins a 2.5-frame start in this best-of-11 clash and it could also pay to chance a couple of big-price correct scores.
