We are six days away from the Randox Health Grand National and it is an all-jumps Sunday.

With no racing taking place in Ireland, the schedule is filled by Carlisle and Exeter where Alberto's Dream bids for a five-timer in one of the day's features under a welter burden.

There is a notable occasion across the Channel as well with the reopening of Longchamp, now renamed ParisLongchamp, after a multi-million pound refit for the home of the Arc.

Going report

Carlisle (first race at 1.50)
Soft, heavy in places on chase course (GoingStick 6.2 chase, 6.4 hurdles on Sunday at 7.00)

Exeter (2.05)
Heavy, soft in places (GoingStick 5.1 both courses on Saturday at 12.30). The last hurdle in the home straight and the back straight will be omitted.

Market movers

2.35 Exeter - Show On The Road 5-1 (from 7)
2.35 Exeter - I See You Well 10-1 (from 14)
3.10 Exeter - Casper King 8-1 (from 11)

What to back

if you have ten seconds to spare Chris Rose will give you a tip at Carlisle.

Or a bit more time on your hands, members can enjoy the benefit of Paul Kealy's wisdom as he finds the punting value from both cards.

What to read

Always a big supporter of the Grand National, which he has won twice, Nigel Twiston-Davies is today's Big Read in which you can catch the latest on the heavily fancied Blaklion.

Staying with the National theme, there will be a debut in the race for Rachael Blackmore and you can read herewhat she thinks of the opportunity.

What to watch

Ever wondered what happens to former Grand National heroes after racing? Don't Push It is clearly enjoying his new life as you will see from this Where Are They Now? video.

And here is another Aintree hero of yesteryear. Former race winning jockey Maurice Barnes, now a trainer, who leads Nick Watts on a fascinating course walk.

The best of Racing Post Sport

There are two more matches in the Premier League with Arsenal hosting relegation-battling Southampton, which is assessed by James Milton.

Mark Langdon runs the rule over the all-London contest between Chelsea and West Ham.

And of course there is more coverage of the games in the Postcast, hosted by Bruce Millington.

Final thought

After so much wet weather lately there looks to be a welcome change in the forecast and should it remain dry at Aintree there could be turnarounds aplenty in Cheltenham Festival form.
