Mullins' first Bath runner leaves a lasting impression in victory
Willie Mullins picked up his second big British Flat prize in just five days as True Self laughed at her rivals in the feature £40,000 Listed contest.
Having annexed the £500,000 Cesarewitch at Newmarket last Saturday, Mullins was having his first runner at Bath and True Self left a lasting impression on Somerset's racegoers with one of the easiest victories you could wish to see at this level.
Sent off 6-4 market leader, True Self breezed through the one-mile-six-furlong contest under a super-confident Colin Keane and was still hard on the bridle when easing to the front early in the straight. She strode clear to score by an emphatic three lengths and looks a Group filly in the making.
