Memories of Red Rum as Lastbutnotleast makes all
The famous maroon and yellow silks associated with triple Grand National winner Red Rum were carried to victory by Lastbutnotleast, the last horse bought by Red Rum's trainer Ginger McCain.
The mare is trained by McCain's son Donald and was providing him, and jockey Will Kennedy, with a third winner from the first three races.
After the seven-year-old had made all under a penalty in the mares' novice hurdle, McCain said: "She's a bit special, she's the last horse dad bought me, hence the name. We do think plenty of her, she's going to want three miles, a fence and heavy ground in time."
