Bryony Frost conjures up remarkable 999-1 win on Silent Steps at Southwell

Southwell has seen some crazy races over the years and Monday’s opening 3m½f handicap chase proved another as Silent Steps defied in-running odds of 999-1 after two rivals traded at 1.04 on Betfair.
The drama started when 3-1 favourite Shanty Alley, a morning gamble, fell at the third-last when in a clear lead.
Closest rival Inch Lala clambered over the second-last under strong pressure from Adam Wedge but was nearly walking in the heavy ground and Bryony Frost was finally getting a response from Silent Steps, who had been a detached last for most of the final circuit.
