Zetland runner-up I'll Have Another out to gain more black type
3.30 Pontefract

I'll Have Another produced a career-best run behind Norway in the Zetland Stakes at Newmarket, and will be looking to add more black type to her name after a Listed victory in Cologne last month.
The Mark Johnston-trained filly, who has won or been placed on all her seven starts, sets the standard with a Racing Post Rating of 101 and is the most experienced in the five-runner field.
Charlie Johnston, assistant trainer to father Mark, said: "She's had a very successful year and ran a career-best last time in the Zetland. We were very pleased with that run.
"She's already got some black type abroad but it would be nice to get some at home. She sets the standards on ratings and is the one they have to beat."
Derby hope Comets hopes for final season success
Three Comets, who finished second behind Persian Moon at Epsom last month, bids to end his season on a winning note for trainer Roger Varian, who is keeping an eye on next season with the Investec Derby entry.
"Three Comets ran creditably at Epsom and I think the stiffer finish and easier ground will suit him well here," Varian said.
"He looks a lovely middle-distance prospect for next year and this is a logical place for him to finish up his season."
Divine to shine?
Divine Gift got off the mark at the fourth attempt in a nursery at Windsor last time but has plenty to find with the leading contenders on official ratings.
Trainer Charlie Fellowes said: "It's a big step up in class and we've got a bit to find on ratings but the ground will be ideal. The stiff mile at Pontefract will suit him and he's never run a bad race.
"If we could finish in the first three for his owner-breeder then it would be fantastic."
One for next year
The twice-raced Taylormade looks to be on the up after improving hugely from his debut run. Only ninth that day, the colt ran out a game winner in a Yarmouth novice in July and takes a big step up in class for his third start.
Trainer Mohamed Moubarak said: "He's a really nice, laid-back horse. He's the first foal out of the mare and he has always been developing. His best days are ahead of him.
"He's been working nicely but I feel he'll be a better horse next year."
The Ralph Beckett-trained Manuela De Vega completes the field.
End of an era
After 35 years as clerk of the course at Pontefract, Norman Gundill will step down on Monday at the track's last meeting of the year.
Gundill, who turns 76 this month, became managing director in 1975 – and will continue in that role – and since 1983 has combined that with clerking.
He is handing over raceday management to chief operating officer Richard Hammill, and former jockey George Chaloner will take over as joint clerk of the course with Hammill.
