The Briefing: going news, market movers and punting pointers
Anyone else finding it difficult to keep up with which type of racing dual-purpose tracks are hosting this winter?
Take today for example. Lingfield has a jumps fixture squeezed between all its Polytrack racing, but around the M25 at Kempton – which hosted jumping fixtures including the King George last month – it is back on the all-weather at twilight.
At Newcastle, which also caters to both codes, there is a little bit of everything as the card starts on the all-weather with a bumper before four hurdles and two chases.
Fairyhouse is far more traditional in separating its seasons. The track, which is home to the BoyleSports Irish Grand National, stages another jumping fixture today.
