Super Sabor searching for July hat-trick for Andy Slattery

July has already been a month to remember for the Andy Slattery-trained Red Sabor. Successful over five furlongs at Bellewstown off a rating of 81 at the beginning of the month, he followed up over six furlongs at Navan last weekend and will be bidding to continue his winning run in Sunday's Fairyhouse highlight off a career-high mark of 92.

The three-year-old was handed an 8lb penalty for that hard-fought Navan success, but seven of the past ten winners of this race have carried 9st or over and Red Sabor shoulders 9st 2lb.

The Eddie Lynam-trained Captain Power is a course and distance winner who has yet to get off the mark for the season despite being sent off favourite for his last three races.

Damian English will be represented by bargain buys Geological and Red Avenger, both of whom have Galway festival targets in front of them.

Johnny Levins is also readying a two-pronged attack as well via Palavicini Run and Bainne, while Rivellino, Midnitemudcrabs and Independence Day complete the nine-strong field.

Red Avenger will go for the Topaz Mile at Galway and while he's as fit as we can have him at home he is probably not as revved up for this as Geological is. He broke very well over five furlongs at Dundalk last time but I think stepping back up to six will help him here. He's been in great form of late and will also head to Galway after this.

He's as hardy as a goat and he came out of his last win in very good form. He got 8lb for that and we were probably expecting it. He's a battler and only just does enough. He wears the blinkers, but he's not ungenuine, he's just a bit lazy. I think there could be even more improvement in him.

Adrian McGuinness, trainer of Rivellino
He had a very good draw at the Curragh, when he ran a nice race in the Scurry Handicap. Ideally I'd have liked a little bit longer between the two races but he has come out of it well and I'm very happy with him. The conditions are in his favour and I'm expecting a very big run.

John Feane, trainer of Midnitemudcrabs
She ran well last time at Bellewstown, where she just didn't have the clearest of runs and couldn’t get a run at the leaders. She has been in very good form since and I expect her to run a good race. She has a feather weight and that will help.
