Given the faith Santa Barbara's supporters had to show at Newmarket, backing a once-raced maiden winner for the 1,000 Guineas, it is somewhat understandable that those same fans may take a look at the Oaks betting and think: not you again.
Resist that particular urge. On the second run of her career, in a Classic, Santa Barbara finished fourth beaten just over a length. Has she even fooled you once yet?
