Back in action: all you need to know for racing today

This time last week we were all getting extremely overexcited about the imminent start of the Cheltenham Festival. Today, the weather has returned to wreak havoc on the fixture list.

Lingfield's all-weather card stands alone in Britain, while the green light was given to Limerick this morning, where racing was called off on Sunday due to heavy snow. Racing also takes place at Down Royal.

There was more good news early on with Clonmel's meeting on Tuesday also passing an inspection.

Despite the ridiculous weather, it is in fact spring. Proof of this being confirmations for Saturday's 32Red Lincoln and entries for the Brocklesby Stakes for two-year-olds are due this afternoon.

So stay positive – soon we will be basking in the sunshine of the Randox Health Grand National, the Investec Derby and Royal Ascot.
