Dual Group 1 winner Limato is the star of the show at Goodwood as he faces ten rivals in the Supreme Stakes (4.10). The Group 3 is the headline event on a card which also features an intriguing £40,000 handicap contested by some unexposed, progressive three-year-olds. Beverley and Yarmouth complete the domestic offering.

It's a lower-key Sunday in Deauville than has been the case of late, but there could still be Arc clues on offer in the Group 2 Grand Prix de Deauville (3.30), which Hardwicke Stakes runner-up Nagano Gold is using as a stepping stone on the road to Longchamp.

Ed Walker has enjoyed international success with Stormy Antarctic and will be hoping his decision to send Royal Intervention to Baden-Baden will be rewarded with victory in the Goldene Peitsche (4.10).

What to read

Final thought

Christophe Soumillon was adamant that Czech raider Nagano Gold was unlucky not to win the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot but he has been found a nice opportunity to gain some compensation in the £180,000 Grand Prix de Deauville. The race could be a stepping stone to the Arc, for which Nagano Gold is 40-1.
