Politologue and Bristol De Mai made it perfect Saturday
I was buzzing after Politologue's win in the Grade 2 Chase at AscotCredit: Mark Cranham
It’s obviously nice when everything goes to plan in a big Saturday race on a strongly fancied horse.
Politologue jumped and travelled beautifully in Ascot’s Grade 2 Christy 1965 Chase, and found plenty when challenged on the run-in to get the job done. A right-handed, flat track should be ideal for him over three miles, and the race was a great prep for the King George.
Politologue had done plenty of work ahead of Ascot, but will definitely improve for the run and I was delighted with him. It’s all systems go for Boxing Day.
