Richard Birch's play of the day at Southwell

What is your Nap of the Day?
Our Nap of the Day is our most confident selection – the single best bet on the day’s racecard, chosen by our top tipsters. In racing circles, a "Nap" is the tipster’s strongest fancy, the horse they believe has the best chance of winning. It’s ideal for punters looking for just one quality bet to follow rather than tackling a full racecard or accumulator. We highlight the Nap early each day, complete with detailed reasoning and race analysis to back it up.
How do Nap of the Day tips work?
Unlike Lucky 15s or accumulators which include multiple selections, the Nap of the Day is a single win tip. It’s simple – one horse, one race, and full focus from our analysts. The Nap is usually picked from the UK or Irish meetings and is based on a combination of:

Recent form and consistency

Ideal ground, trip, and track conditions

Jockey/trainer stats

Market confidence or late whispers

You can back it as a single or use it as a strong anchor in your own multiples or Lucky 15s.
Why follow a Nap of the Day?
Following a Nap is a great way to keep betting focused and disciplined. It reduces the temptation to overbet and gives you one strong, reasoned chance to root for – with all the homework already done. Our Nap is picked with profit, not popularity in mind. It may be a favourite, but we’re just as likely to go for value horses at bigger prices if we think the edge is there. It’s ideal for:

Casual punters who want one strong tip

Experienced bettors looking for insight from seasoned tipsters

Anyone looking for a trusted daily racing bet

How do you pick your Nap of the Day?
Our Nap is selected from hours of analysis by professional tipsters who watch every UK and Irish race, often multiple times. We combine:

Video reviews and sectional times

In-depth stats and ratings

Course bias and draw trends

Trainer patterns and notebook horses

We won’t just tip the short-priced favourite unless it genuinely offers value. Every Nap is backed up by clear reasoning, and many have excellent strike-rates thanks to our form-first approach.
What other tips do you have?
Explore our full range of betting tips for today:

Lucky 15 Tips

Accumulator Tips

Ante-Post Tips
