Aidan O'Brien's summer haul of top-level successes continued when Minding proved a class apart from her rivals in a small-field but messy Nassau, and the trainer gave the strongest indication yet the filly for whom he was running out of superlatives was ready to take on male opposition for the first time.

It is unclear when that will be as the daughter of supersire Galileo has, befitting a horse with the world seemingly at her feet, a host of options.

The 'lads' – Coolmore partners John Magnier, Derrick Smith and Michael Tabor – will discuss plans with O'Brien, who said nothing to put them off stepping out of the distaff division.
