Moore and O'Brien expected to dominate
Aidan O'Brien is the top trainer on the planet. Ryan Moore is the world's best jockey. And, starting today and through until Saturday, the master of Ballydoyle and his retained rider are expected to dominate Glorious Goodwood, with the pair heading their respective betting markets.
O'Brien, a best-priced 3-1 with Sky Bet, is followed by 9-2 shot John Gosden in the top trainer betting, while Mark Johnston and Richard Hannon, who have shared the title between them for the last eight years, are 5-1 and 8-1 respectively.
Moore is much shorter-priced favourite, with the 11-8 offered by Betfair about him topping the top jockey standings the best around. Frankie Dettori, at 3-1 with Ladbrokes, is the only other rider at a single-figure price.
