Awtaad will be a first Sussex Stakes runner for Kevin Prendergast for whom Hamdan Al Maktoum's colt won the Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas in May, giving the 84-year-old Curragh trainer a second win in that colts' Classic 40 years after winning the race with Northern Treasure.
