More ink needed for photo-finish printer after yet another thriller
Oh, Punchestown, what are you doing to us? Doctors can now add attendance at the County Kildare track to cigarettes, alcohol and junk food on the long list of things that are unhealthy for us. High blood pressure cannot not be controlled, curses cannot be contained and celebrations cannot be curtailed. The photo-finish printer is running out of ink rapidly.
Just 24 hours after millimetres separated Sizing John and Djakadam in the Gold Cup, we were treated to yet another engrossing encounter in the Champion Stayers Hurdle. It was centimetres this time.
Unowhatimeanharry, who lost his air of invincibility at Cheltenham, regained the winning habit in the most exhilarating way you could have even imagined. We weren't ready for another ding-dong duel, not yet. It was too soon.
