Think Melling Road, think Grand National, think John Hanmer. On Monday night, however, in the British Railway North End Social on Aintree's famous road, it was all about the Cheltenham Festival.
Local man and Jumping Prospects author John Morris organises and MCs the event, which is now in its ninth year and raises money for nearby Alder Hey Children's Hospital through a raffle.
"We started out in Maghull Town Hall but after two years we got too big," says Morris, "so we came here and we get about 200 people now. It's a very knowledgeable crowd."
