Million the target as yard closes in on personal best
John O'Hara gets the lowdown from the West Sussex trainer
Based in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Gary Moore has possibly the strongest team he has ever had in his care. Chasing a best-ever tally of 63, the former jockey is fast closing in on that total and has every reason to believe he will set a much higher personal best at the end of the campaign.
“I am incredibly lucky to have such a strong team this year,” he says. “I don’t set targets as my ambition is always to train as many winners as a I can. The one thing I would love to achieve is to win over £1 million in prize-money, and with £645,450 in the bag already we might go close.
“It was a shame Goshen did not pick up the first prize last week at Lingfield as that would have been a huge boost.”
