Three years ago Nicky Henderson won the Triumph Hurdle Trial at Cheltenham with Hargam then took the Summit Hurdle at Doncaster with Peace And Co, who proved the better when the pair clashed in the Triumph itself four months later.

If you fancy history to repeat itself, now is the time to act as the bookmakers believe it's the southern racegoers who saw the true juvenile champion.

Apple's Shakira is 4-1 Triumph favourite after carrying the Hargam colours of JP McManus to victory at Cheltenham and you can get 12-1 about We Have A Dream, who gave Peace And Co pair Simon Munir and Isaac Souede success in the Summit.

The owners' racing manager Anthony Bromley was not getting carried away with historical precedent and said: "The owners and the trainer won this race with Peace And Co a few years ago, I'm not sure if he's necessarily that but he's a nice prospect and he loves his jumping.

"I wouldn't think we'll run him quickly and go to the Finale. We're going to work around the stable's Apple's Shakira and there's no need to meet each other if we don't have to.

"The Triumph is not the be all and end all but he looks like he might be able to cope with decent ground in the spring."

Daryl Jacob, who won the Summit on Peace And Co, was suitably impressed with We Have A Dream and said:"He's a lovely horse, we've thought a lot of him since he came over. Nicky has done a fantastic job with him, he's filled him out and he's got bigger and stronger.

"He's a great horse to look forward to when he jumps a fence next year."

The owners have the small matter of Bristol Dde Mai to look forward to in the King George VI Chase at Kempton a week on Tuesday but Bromley warned: "We've got a couple of bullets to fire before then.

"L'Ami Serge runs in the Long Walk next Saturday and Fixe Le Kap is making his chasing debut on Monday at Plumpton – and he's a nice horse."
