'He was as bright as a button on Sunday and he'll go straight to the Champion Chase'

Key trainer quotes looking ahead to the BetMGM Champion Chase at Cheltenham on March 11
Nicky Henderson, trainer of Jonbon
He's come out of the Clarence House very well. He was as bright as a button on Sunday and he'll go straight to the Champion Chase.
Sean Graham, racing manager to owner Tony Bloom, owner of Energumene
The Clarence House didn't pan out to suit us and Paul said he got alongside Jonbon at the fourth last and he picked up and went away from him. On that ground, Jonbon had too much speed for him. On that ground we're going to struggle against Jonbon. He's a nine-year-old and reaching his peak, whereas our fella is 11. We just need to pick our battles and have the right conditions, and that would mean very soft ground. If the ground came up heavy at Cheltenham like it did last year, you'd maybe have a pop.
