The Punt Acca: Charlie Huggins has found 6-1 and 7-4 winners and has one more tip at Sandown on Saturday

Go Dante (2.25 Sandown)

The nine-year-old is rated 2lb lower than when winning this race last year and he ran his best race since wind surgery when seventh in the William Hill Hurdle last time. Go Dante has to reverse the form of that Newbury meeting with Lump Sum but he meets that rival on 6lb better terms here and being reunited with Sean Bowen can only be a positive. A repeat tilt at this race has clearly been the target all season and he may come good now his rating is 7lb lower than what he began the campaign off.

Charisma Cat (3.00 Sandown)

The five-year-old won her first two starts at Southwell and Warwick in good style and was sent off at odds of 7-2 in a Listed bumper at Market Rasen last time. Alan King’s mare clearly did not take to that sharp track but demonstrated a brilliant attitude to stay on powerfully at the finish. Charisma Cat was beaten only a neck by Kingston Queen and this stiffer course will be much more to her liking. She beat the reopposing Dream Shadow by two and a half lengths at Market Rasen and it is difficult to see that form being reversed.

Classic Anthem (4.45 Sandown)

The seven-year-old won a handicap hurdle here in December 2023 and has some decent form over fences at the track. Classic Anthem was beaten only half a length by Brookie, winner of a £40,000 race at Doncaster last Saturday, over 1m7½f at this venue in November. He was doing all of his best work during the closing stages, so it was unsurprising that he was sent off the 6-4 favourite on his first start back at the track over 2m4f last month. The selection bumped into a progressive rival that day and he has been dropped 1lb for a respectable second-place finish. Given how well he was backed, that suggests connections think he is more than capable of winning off this mark and he should record a first chase success at the fifth attempt.
