Evening Angles: three to note tonight based on Racing Post stats
Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back this evening based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, a notable trainer and jockey combination.
Trainer form
Siskin
5.25 Curragh
Angle: Ger Lyons has his string in top order
The Listed Marble Hill Stakes has often provided the odd Royal Ascot pointer, and trainer Ger Lyons will be bidding to saddle his second winner of the race after Cappella Sansevero's victory in 2014.
Lyons has had eight winners from 32 runners in the last fortnight, meaning he is operating at a 25 per cent strike-rate and this Khalid Abdullah-owned colt is his first representative to hit the track this evening.
Siskin quickened up smartly to beat Harpocrates, who reopposes, on debut at Naas and he holds a Railway Stakes entry.
Racing Post Ratings
Darcy Ward
6.40 Worcester
Angle: took a big step forward last time out
A point-to-point winner in May 2017, it isn't difficult to see why Darcy Ward has relished the switch to fences on his last two starts, winning two 2m3f contests at Exeter.
He recorded an RPR of 140 last time out, 10lb better than his previous start, which suggests he should easily be able hold off these rivals.
Junction Fourteen has recorded higher figures in the past, but he is a ten-year-old now and far from consistent.
Trainer and jockey combination
Kimifive
6.35 Curragh
Angle: Joe Tuite and Ryan Moore team up
Kimifive looks to have a good chance in this €100,000 handicap based on his last two runs this season, having won at Goodwood before finishing a decent seventh in the Victoria Cup.
What is most eyecatching however is the jockey booking, as trainer Joe Tuite has enlisted the assistance of Ryan Moore, who has only ridden eight horses for him before.
Two of those resulted in victory, meaning the partnership have a very respectable 25 per cent strike-rate together.
