Cristian Garin v Nick Kyrgios

Cristian Garin has done well to make it to the last eight of Wimbledon but the brave Chilean's time in SW19 could come to an end when he meets Nick Kyrgios. Aussie firebrand Kyrgios is showing some serious intent to succeed in the London major this year and he's expected to triumph in three or four sets. The bookies are none too keen on quoting Kyrgios at -1.5 on the sets handicap, so punters are left looking at supporting the favourite -4.5 games.

Taylor Fritz v Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal's tournament pretty much starts in the last eight and if Taylor Fritz plays the game he is capable of, this could be a tough outing for the veteran Spaniard. Nadal still hasn't been tested, and bettors can consider backing Fritz to win at least a set or on the total-games handicaps. However, his quotes look a little short in those spheres so going over the total games at 39.5 is another option.

Ajla Tomljanovic v Elena Rybakina

Ajla Tomljanovic is competing in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon for the second year in a row, so greater experience could aid her cause against Elena Rybakina. However, the Russia-born Kazakh representative is turning into a seriously useful performer at Grand Slam level and, if Rybakina plays the game that is expected of her, she will take some beating. Tomljanovic fought back from a set down to beat Alize Cornet in her last singles start, but this is potentially tougher again.

Simona Halep v Amanda Anisimova

Simona Halep is the one to beat in the women's singles with top seed Iga Swiatek having suffered an early exit and the 2019 champion looks to be playing well enough to see off Amanda Anisimova. It's unlikely to be an easy assignment, though - the American is a fine talent herself and has already ousted Cori Gauff - but Halep is an accomplished performer who brings vast experience to the table. Anisimova may win a set but will do well to win two.
